The prophet Isaiah
Isaiah prophesied the birth of Jesus long before it happened.
The prophet Isaiah is one of the four great prophets. He lived and worked in connection with the Temple of Jerusalem circa 740–700 BCE.
He prophesied the arrival of Jesus hundreds of years before the event. This is described in the Bible in Isaiah, chapter 9, verses 2–7: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called: Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
